Having a complete team is key to event success. Here are just a few tips to making sure that you're covered for your big day:

Start with Leadership. We recommend having a Captain, or leader, for our team of servers and bartenders. The captain ensures that everything runs smoothly and can deal with problems as they arise so that you don't have to worry. Our Captains are professionally trained and equipped with the necessary tools and knowledge to ensure that your event runs without a hitch.

Staff to Serve Food. When figuring out the number of party servers for hire, we recommend having one server per ten guests for a sit-down dinner. If you're planning a cocktail party, we recommend two food servers and one busser per fifty guests.

Staff For the Bar. We recommend one bartender per 75 guests for a partial bar. If you are planning on a full bar, we recommend one bartender for fifty guests.

One vital part of a successful event is an organized back of house (BOH). The sanitation captain takes care of checking in rentals at the beginning of the event and organizing them at the conclusion of the event. They're also responsible for setting up the sanitation area for glassware, china and flatware. Our sanitation captains and sanitation assistants are trained professionals with years of experience.

It would depend on the type and style of event you are holding and what kind of staff is necessary. We suggest speaking with your manager in detail about your event so that they can suggest the proper amount of banquet servers and other wait staff for your particular needs.

Yes, we specialize in model catering staffing in NYC. With a roster of 700 staff, we provide a wide choice of model looking staff for any type of event.
If the wait staff is late how do you compensate for it?
We strive to make sure that all wait staff arrives on time but in the rare case that a staff member arrives late we will reimburse / credit your account for the required time.
What uniform options are available when booking wait staff?
We provide a choice of 3 standard uniforms for the wait staff: All Black or Black and White - black dress pants / skirt, choice of black or white buttondown shirt, black skinny tie and black dress shoes, and Jeans - jeans, sneakers, and a shirt. Speak to your manager if you need a different uniform for your wait staff.
Can you provide the party waiters with the uniform I need?
We provide a choice of 3 standard uniforms for our wait staff. If you have a particular uniform that you need the wait staff to wear, just discuss it with your manager and we can make arrangements.
I want to hire a server for home party. When is the best time for booking?
Though we can provide wait staff on short notice, we always suggest booking as soon as possible since then you have the widest choice of the wait staff.

To ensure timely arrival of wait staff we use the subway for transportation to events, which is included in the price. If your event location is unreachable by the subway, we will arrange for transportation at minimal additional costs.
What are the responsibilities of the waitstaff for hire?
Our servers and waitresses for hire can handle many different responsibilities; such as helping with setting up and breaking down the event, serving food and drinks, bussing tables, and servicing the buffet area. All the expected responsibilities of wait staff need to be discussed with your account executive during the booking process so that we can properly assign your wait staff.
Will the wait staff know what to do and be able to work independently?
To make sure our clients enjoy the event we recommend hiring a captain who directs your wait staff. Otherwise, the wait staff will need to be given directions during the event, and controlling a smooth work process will be up to you, taking you away from your guests.
Do I have to give the wait staff a break and provide food?
If your event is over 5 hours, by law, you are required to provide a break for the wait staff. Although you are not required to provide meals, we recommend it, especially for long events.
Who, if anyone, can I contact after office hours when I have problems with hired event wait staff?
If you need assistance with hired event servers at any time please contact our office line and we will assist you.
Are tips for wait staff included in the invoice?
While tips are not included in the invoice it's highly appreciated by wait staff if you decide to provide a tip yourselves or you can ask your manager to include the gratuity in the invoice.
